Creating a new chapter for herself.

“As a young mum it was scary and overwhelming” The day I began my journey with WELLfed, I was nervous about meeting new people and making new friends. Everything felt challenging, especially being part of a new community. As a young mum of 23 with a beautiful daughter named Bella, it was a scary and overwhelming experience. I didn’t know where to start. I didn’t know how to cook, how to be independent with just one child, or how to navigate this new chapter of motherhood.
But luckily, I was able to step out of my shell, make new friends, and build meaningful relationships. However, it was still difficult for me to figure out how to introduce myself. I had to be bold and strong to say who I am and share how much I love being part of WELLfed. I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to know my tutors and everyone attending WELLfed with me.
I no longer feel alone because this place feels like a second home and family. The warmth and support from all of you have made such a difference. Bella and I truly appreciate the love, kindness, and hospitality we’ve received. You’ve treated us with so much aroha and manaakitanga, and for that, I thank you deeply.
Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without you all. Never give up on your dreams. Whatever you love to do, don’t stop pursuing it. There are always new doors ahead in your journey. Always remember that you’ve already taken the first step, and each small step brings you closer to your goals.
For new learners at WELLfed - I say “stay proud of yourself. You are creating a new chapter, a new life, and new goals. Keep doing what you love because this is your journey, and no one can stop you”. Thank you again for welcoming Bella and I into WELLfed.
