Amanda

Operations Manager

Born and raised in Porirua, Amanda's journey took her to the UK in the mid-90s. There, she gained experience in systems and workflow management with Reuters and Morgan Stanley.

Upon returning to New Zealand, Amanda spent seven years in sports admistration at NZ Rugby. In 2019, she joined WELLfed part-time to help manage the accounts. Since then, her role has grown to encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including: payroll, accounts, CRM development etc.

Amanda thrives on building and maintaining strong systems and relationships, which enables the team to support and help individuals achieve their goals. 

Outside of work, Amanda is an avid sports fan – she loves cheering on her daughters from the sidelines. When not at a game, she enjoys pottering in the garden, mountain biking, or running the odd trail with her hubby and their energetic labradoodle.

Brooke

Communications & Marketing

Brooke, WELLfed's Communications and Marketing Lead, is a creative force who approaches every project with a cool, calm, and methodical demeanor. She thrives on challenges and brings a diverse skill set to her role. Brooke is responsible for designing and managing WELLfed's social media presence, including the communications calendar, content creation, and channel management across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and the website.

Her expertise extends to partner communications, where she drafts and distributes quarterly newsletters, implements communication templates, and ensures sponsors are thanked appropriately. Brooke also handles media communications and provides comprehensive marketing support. This includes developing marketing materials, brand management, website development and maintenance, and supporting events and fundraising campaigns.

With an amazing, positive attitude, Brooke gives 100% to everything she does. Outside of her impactful work, she loves spending time with her boys, has a knack with nuturing indoor plants and is an avid F1 fan.

Dee

WELLfed Kids Coordinator

Meet Dee, our WELLfed Kids Coordinator, expertly coordinating our parenting programmes. She's a highly self-motivated and collaborative individual, dedicated to driving positive behaviour change for the benefit of individuals, communities, and the environment. Dee is a personable and effective communicator, known for building strong relationships with diverse groups. Her background supporting environmental improvement projects at the council further highlights her dedication to positive community impact.

Emma

Logistics Manager

Meet Emma, WELLfed's Logistics Manager! Originally from Dunedin, she trained as a chef in Wellington before her overseas adventures taught her all about global cuisines and clever cooking on a budget. Since discovering WELLfed in 2017, Emma's been hooked and is a vital part of the team.

Lea

Programme & Class Support

Lea does a bit of everything at WELLfed! She helps in cooking classes, supports the admin team, and also lends a hand in the garden.

Lea first joined WELLfed as a learner, building her cooking skills. She then started volunteering in the garden - and loved every minute of it. Now, she’s part of the awesome staff team, giving back to the community she loves.

Lea enjoys meeting people, learning new things, and helping others shine. What matters most to her is seeing people in our community thrive.

In her spare time, Lea enjoys getting crafty. Her latest project is weaving - she’s working on an adult-sized korowai/kākahu with care and pride.

Leigh

Finance Manager

Leigh is a Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer and has worked in Europe, the U.S.and New Zealand.  Her broad businesss experience comes from various financial roles within multinationals, government, small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) and not-for-profits.  Leigh is passionate about supporting start-ups and not-for-profits so they can thrive.  Outside of work, Leigh loves the outdoors, tramping in the hills around Wellington, walking her dogs and dreaming about her next travel adventure!

Niuholo

Cleaner

We're chuffed to have Niuholo as part of the WELLfed whānau! Niuholo is not only an invaluable member of our team, but also a shining example of the inspiration our programmes foster. As a previous WELLfed graduate, she was empowered to launch her own successful cleaning business in 2023. Now, she brings her expertise and dedication back to us, ensuring our teaching kitchens and WELLfed headquarters are always sparkling clean. We're grateful for Niuholo's continued connection and her commitment to keeping our spaces pristine.

Rachel

Logistics & Facilities Support

Rachel is our incredible WELLfed Logistics and Facilities Support, a vital role that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She assists the Logistics Manager with everything from collecting food rescue and managing stock to purchasing essential ingredients and supplies. Rachel also ensures all our equipment - for learners, classes, and preloved items - is meticulously ordered, maintained, and sorted.

You'll also find Rachel lending her talents to event catering, helping with menu planning and food prep.  

Beyond her official duties, Rachel's warm, welcoming nature shines through; as a former barista, she's always quick with a big smile and a good cuppa to make you feel right at home.
